Item description: This auction is for a GVP 4060 CPU accelerator card (aka T-Rex II), made for the Commodore Amiga 4000 computer. The card was designed for the Amiga 4000 desktop version in mind, however electronically this card is compatible with any Amiga 3000 or 4000 desktop or tower computer that has enough physical clearance / space to securely fit this card, so please keep this in mind if bidding for use with your Amiga 3000D/T or 4000T, as you may need to make some physical modifications to your case insides to make this fit (not necessarily an easy task). Let's go over specifications: --> This is the latest Revision 2 of the card. --> On-board CPU is a Motorola 68060 clocked at 50 MHz. --> The 68060 is a genuine 50 MHz rated Motorola part. --> The 68060 features a built-in FPU and MMU. --> There is an on-board DMA Fast SCSI-2 controller on the card. --> There are four 32 MB 72-pin memory sticks on the card, bringing total RAM to the maximum addressable size of 128 MB. --> Original box and installation floppy disk are included. --> Printed manual is included. --> All jumpers on the card have been pre-set for you so that the card can run optimally and correctly. --> Refer to the manual for information on jumper settings. --> SCSI firmware chip has been upgraded to address the filesystem bug that prevented booting to a non-FastFileSystem partition. --> The new SCSI firmware now allows 100% safe mounting and use of PFS3 or SFS filesystems in RDB, and booting from them. --> SCSI firmware chip has been installed in a socket, allowing for future changes / upgrades. This is arguably the best Amiga 4000 accelerator card that features a SCSI-2 onboard controller. It's an all-in-one compact design that does not require additional space within your Amiga for daughter board cards or anything like that (closest rival to this card was Cyberstorm MK2 by Phase 5, which utilized additional attachments to gain a SCSI-2 controller, which shows how great GVP's design was). The card has been kept in great shape and honestly it works, looks, feels like new. To operate this card in your Amiga 4000, please ensure that correct motherboard jumper settings are set (CPU jumpers need to be set to the INT position). 68060.library must be installed on your hard drive (available on the supplied floppy installation disk as well as online).
